Day 4 - Tokyo
Today I got to meet Neil's other half, Mariko. I have heard so much about her and now I put a face to the name that I have been hearing so much about. But first we had to eat so we had brunch at Coco Curry by the train station. You can choose how spicy your curry can be with grades of spiciness ranging from 1-10(one being the least spicy). I wanted a grade 7 curry and Neil looked at me in disbelief so i settled for a 6. Its a different kind of heat, more like pepper rather than chilli. The curry really warmed up my belly and was pretty hard to eat quickly(we were rushing to meet Mariko at Maihama station) but was good.
Tiny salad had an oishi dressing
Mine had vegetables in it cos I was getting constipated
Neil told me on the train to Disney(yes we spent the day frolicking in cutesy American Imperialism that the natives here love so much) that I should call her Mariko-chan in case she decided to call me Raji-san.
cutesy monorail
our first ride was on a tram to get to another section of the park
strange but true...Gyoza in a bun
The Little Mermaid section of the park was annoying, tho Mariko loved it
Neil and I prefered rides like Journey to the Centre of the Earth and the Indiana Jones one. Note the morons in the front row
chocorat popkorn
Me and the Engrish boy
There were no fireworks due to the windy weather but had a tacky show abt a sea monster and a water princess. i didn't get it
We had Korean bbq for dinner... tasty tho there were some unusual cuts of beef....
tiny sticks of Meji 'aisu kuriimu' for dessert
We said goodbye to Mariko after dinner at the train station(we were travelling in opposite directions). Neil created a bit of a scene when he licked the window of the train carriage when Mariko got in. Mariko cracked up but the man sitting next to her was kinda freaked out. We headed back to the shoebox, but not before stopping by for some beer and snacks to sustain us while we pack for for our trip to Osaka tmr.
